I've "oohed and aaaahed" over this pattern featured in Martha Stewart...and then almost fainted when I saw The Cakgirls (of Chicago) version with the pattern. So I was so excited when Whitney brought be a picture with this design on it.
I finally had a reason to buy the stencil! It is definitely tricky and a labor of love putting black frosting onto white fondant a hoping that the seal on the stencil was tight. I survived with very few mishaps.
I really love the crisp lines of the design, and the pop of color from the fresh flowers. Thanks Whitney for giving me an excuse to create this cake!
