Chili anyone?

At our church Halloween party they do a chili cook-off every year. At first when I offered to make a cake I figured I would do something with a Halloween theme. But then my husband suggested I make a crock pot of chili....I couldn't resist.

I thought perhaps I would do a stainless steel crock pot that looked just like mine, but then I remembered those old school crock pots. The ones with a band of yellow flowers around the bottom and I think the inner pot was even forest green.

Mine turned out a little more subdued in lavender.I think the plug was the detail that I loved the most.

I don't know if I would want to eat that chili....it looks a little strange.
